History


1912

On April 9th, 1912, Paul Vahle put the first conductor rails into operation and filed a patent application for his invention. The company VAHLE is founded in Dortmund as a partnership.

1921

VAHLE Company becomes a ‘GmbH’.

1926

Paul Vahle dies and hiswife Helene manages the company.

1929

Manufacturing facilities are rented in Dortmund-Brackel.

1932

Son Paul Werner Vahle takes over the father's company.

1936

VAHLE employs 30 people.

1939 - 1949

Maria Vahle, wife of Paul Werner Vahle, becomes company manager during his WW II and prisoner of war absence.

1950

1950 is the year of the restart.

1956

Property was acquired at Westicker Strasse, Kamen. In 1958 the production started in Kamen, the administration moved one year later from Dortmund to Kamen.

1962

Start of production of enclosed conductor system type KSL.

1966

Establishment of Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG. Josef Hötte joins the company. He will be working here for more than 40 years and will be part of the management team for almost 30 years.

1971

One million meters of KSL PVC enclosed conductors have been produced.

1972

As a result of the development of electric monorail systems, the U10 conductor system is invented.

1998

Development of the Contactless Power Supply (CPS®) for inductive power transmission.

2007

FABA product line conductor systems acquired.

2012

VAHLE celebrates its 100th anniversary.

2013

Achim Dries appointed new CEO of VAHLE Group.

2014

Foundation of the joint venture VAHLE DETO GmbH in Kufstein, Austria

2015

The largest container terminal in the United Kingdom, the Port of Felixstowe, has been electrified and automated by VAHLE.

2016

3000 meter conductor system for Audi in Neckarsulm.

The electric monorail with vConductor U10 including positioning Apos Optik, VAHLE Automation control and SMGM data transmission system.

2017

VAHLE opens Global Headquarter for Automation in Schwoich near Kufstein, Austria.

2018

The world largest ferris wheel in Dubai (UAE) is electrified and automated by VAHLE.
